What Makes a Great Music Lesson?

A good music lesson should give you the opportunity to learn something new, practise your skills and understand what to work on next.

Everyone has different goals. One student might want to play songs with friends, another might enjoy learning music theory, while someone else may simply want a relaxing hobby.

That's why a personalised approach can be helpful. Lessons should take account of a student's experience, interests and pace, with activities that are challenging enough to encourage progress without becoming overwhelming.

Enjoyment matters, too. Learning an instrument takes patience, and staying interested in the process can make it easier to keep going when something feels difficult.

At G Major Music Makers, the aim is to combine practical learning with a welcoming and encouraging atmosphere.

We provide guitar, bass, drums and piano/keys tuition for beginners and developing players across in our studio in Hamilton
